Our 2021 Holiday Claiming Partnership was a rousing success and sold out quickly. Now, after a long search for the right horse, and some weather issues, Gentle Annie made her Blue Streak Racing debut on Friday, March 25th. Although it wasn’t the greatest outcome (she finished 6th), we did take a big step up in class, so next time we’ll make sure she’s in a better spot.
Gentle Annie, trained by Natalia Lynch, is a 7-year old NY-bred mare out of Freud. She’s now run 45 times in her career. And although she wasn’t fond of Friday’s heavy, muddy track, we’re hopeful that she takes a step forward in her next start.
Reactions from our mostly new partners was universally positive. The thrill of watching a race that you have an ownership interest in is beyond comparison, whether you’re there in person or in the comfort of your living room. Stay tuned for more on Annie and all the BSR horses!
