Blue Streak Racing
Our Team
Horse racing is a complicated business, and it pays to have experience on your side. From trainers and veterinarians to bloodstock agents, the people involved are as important as the horses. Blue Streak Racing seeks out the best and brightest minds in the industry to work with, and that translates to success on the track.

Tim McCoy
Managing Partner
A native of Saratoga Springs, NY, Tim was immersed in horse racing (like it or not), working at the famed Spa oval from the age of 15, right through college age. From handing out uniforms and washing tablecloths for the clubhouse diners, to directing traffic and watching over champion horses as a security guard, Tim was always around the track, though it wasn’t until the last five years that these experiences manifested themselves into race horse ownership.
After having been part of numerous racing partnerships, Tim has taken what he believes to be the best part of each of those partnerships, while leaving out the not so good parts, when coming up with a blueprint for his own partnership. Though currently based in Boston, working in Federal law enforcement for the last 22 years, Saratoga is never far from mind and neither is being in the Spa’s winners circle.

Conor Foley
Advisor, Oracle Bloodstock
Conor, along with his partner in Oracle Bloodstock Jim Hatchett, a trainer with over 40 years’ experience, use their vast knowledge to mitigate risk and help select horses that have the best chance of succeeding on the track.

Danny Gargan
Trainer
Danny Gargan is a New York-based, graded stakes winning trainer. Danny races primarily running on the NYRA circuit, but ships wherever he can be competitive. Danny is the consummate horseman, having grown up in the Bluegrass State, and has a sharp eye for talent, especially in the development of young horses.
Danny was active at this past Spring’s 2-year old sales and looks to leave his mark on the upcoming Saratoga meet as well as into the fall and winter.

Ray Handal
Trainer
Raymond ‘Ray’ Handal is one of the best young trainers in the game, having surpassed the million-dollar mark in earnings in 2017, in only his fourth year. Ray learned the ropes under Hall-of-Famer Jonathan Sheppard, as well as top-notch trainers like Michael Matz, Kenny McPeek, and Tony Dutrow.
Ray is active in the claim game and is always looking for a horse that he can take to the next level. Ray currently has our 2-year old filly Rossa Veloce, and the now 4-year old I’llHandalTheCash in his care. We’ll be looking to claim with him again in the near future.
